Please fix ICloud Email Sorting Options/Or Give Workaround

It appears (from other questions that have been posted) that Apple has changed the Sorting options for Icloud Emails so that we can only sort by Date. When will this be fixed so that we can again sort by other criteria? I don't understand why this functionality has been removed - seems like it should be pretty standard.

Does anyone know a work around? Can I use Microsoft Outlook for Icloud emails, and if so, if I trash emails within Outlook - will they also be put into trash on Icloud? I have a ton of emails to go through, and had no idea this functionality was lost! No Bueno!

You can use Outlook for iCloud emails. If you delete the emails from Outlook, they will delete from iCloud.

You have 2 options. You can enter the iCloud email address as an account and sync directly with iCloud. This requires you to enable 2 Factor Authentication for your Apple ID and use an app specific password.

Your other option is to go to iCloud.com/Mail, click the gear at the bottom left, and select Preferences. You can set iCloud emails to forward to another email address you have.
