Can laser from QR scanner damage iphone display or camera?

Hi! Now-a-days many shops and restaurants apps which requires QR codes to be scanned from phones' display. I read that the QR scanners uses lasers to scan the codes. Is there any way that placing iphone under these scanners (laser-based or other) can damage the display or the front camera?
