Restoring photos back into Camera rolls

What's the most proper way to restore just Photos from iTunes Backup? I have previously enabled iCloud Backup, except I exclude Photos due the lack of iCloud space.

Due to a recent incident, I have to restore the best/latest backup from iCloud and apparently none of the photos are included in the restore. But I do have all the photos in my regular iTunes backup or have been imported into Photos app on Mac. I want to be able to restore all my photos back on my iPhone for instant access yet all the indexing of Places/People/Time-taken can be retained.

Any suggestion/advise would be appreciated.
