How to find old icloud account

I lost my iPad some time ago, and I know that things from my iCloud, as well as photos from my PC, were backed up in that account. I've tried to sign into my iCloud account and don't see any of this data there. It's as though it's a brand new account. Anything I can do to find my old data?
