I seem to have lost all my emails. The icon has disappeared from my desktop. I’ve tried going into the mail app and opening it, but it only shows inbox and vip, and none of my emails I had stored. I’ve also looked for the email icon on all other screens but to no avail. HELP!

Actually, you swipe down from the middle of the home screen to get to Spotlight Search.
Did you look to see if the account still shows in Settings>Account and Passwords. Your email accounts will appear in there. If it appears in there, tap on it and then delete it in the next screen. Then add the account back to your iPad.
Tap settings > general > reset > reset home screen layout
If you can open the Mail app, doesn't that have the icon on it? Try swiping down from the top of the screen to use the search capability to look for it.
