Do I have iOS 12 Beta or iOS 12 official version?

On my iPhone X, I enrolled in the iOS Beta program and installed the iOS 12 Beta. A few days ago, I received a prompt that iOS 12 was available and ready to update. I updated (assuming it was a newer beta). The phone says the current version is iOS 12 (16A366). Then I deleted my beta profile from the iPhone X and rebooted the phone. But the version on the iPhone X is still listed as iOS 12 (16A366). Is this a beta version or the official release of iOS 12?

The reason I wanted to go back to iOS 11.4 was that while using iOS 12.0 (16A366) on my iPhone X and Apple Watch Series 3 using OS 4.3.2 (15U70), I went on a Six Flags Magic Mountain ride called Twisted Colossus. The ride was 4 minutes long. It included two 360 degree loops. While on the ride and with the Apple Watch on my left wrist and the iPhone in my front pocket, the iPhone automatically called 9-1-1. A minute later, the California Highway Control Communication Center called back but could not reach me since I was still on the ride and strapped in. I wasn’t even aware that 9-1-1 had been called. Then a minute later, the iPhone automatically sent text messages to contacts listed on my SOS Emergency list. I didn’t realize what had happened until a few minutes after I exited the ride and noticed a red SOS background was behind the time display on my iPhone. I’m not sure the accidental calling of 9-1-1 was caused by the new iOS 12 Gold Master beta, was it another reason.

I'm guessing that the reason 9-1-1 was called was due to the possibility of you striking the crown on the Apple Watch during the ride. Depending on the settings that you have for the SOS feature on the watch, pressing and holding the crown for a short period of time can start the countdown for the call, and the motion on the ride could have your wrist in a position to press the crown. I know that when working around the house, under some circumstances I can press the crown and get Siri to ask me what it was I wanted. Check your settings and see if you have them on automatic or manual. I'm not aware of any change in iOS 12 that would have caused that. Yes, the Gold Master is usually the public release, but if you are still enrolled in the beta program, you will continue to get notifications of beta updates.
