Installing Scaler
I'm trying to install scaler into Logic Pro and the instructions tell me I have to look for plugin boutique scaler.
It's not coming up.
Where do I find it?
Is this actually correct?
Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Hi
In Logic, the Scaler plugin works as a MIDI FX plug on Instrument channels: You need to load it using the MIDI FX slot
https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/3-Studio-Tools/72-Utility/3933-Scaler
"
For Audio Unit hosts (ie, Logic Pro), the included ScalerControl MIDI effect plugin is loaded up instead. This is identical to the regular Scaler, but sits in front of the target instrument on the same track, outputting MIDI directly to it. It’s certainly the more elegant of the two approaches, although it only captures the raw triggering notes to the track, not the chords output by the plugin.
"
If it doesn't show up there, go to Logic Pro X> Preferences>Plug-In-In Manager and check a) that the plug shows up there, and b) That it is correctly validated for use.

If you do wanna "catch" the MIDI chords outputted by Scaler, you can use this fantastic MIDI FX plugin:
http://www.audiocr.com/midi-fx-freeze/
Just place this MIDI FX Freeze plugin in a MIDI FX slot, after the Scaler MIDI FX plugin.
Warm Regards.
Thanks. I’ll give it a go.
The site seems to be down, if you still have the dmg for midi fx freeze can you please share it.
