itunes 12.6.5.3 loops with authorization

After downloading iTunes 12.6.5.3, and updating my iPhone X to iOS 12, I am stuck in an authorization loop. I only have one computer that is authorized for iTunes, and only 4 devices (iPhone X, 2 iPads, iPhone 5S). I have tried unauthorizing and reauthorizing. After reauthorizing, I get a message that I successfully authorized. After syncing my iPhone X, I get a message that I am not authorized. Anyone have any tips?
