Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I am stuck with a message in mail that will not send, and cannot be deleted. It has an overlay of a message saying 'the server 'stmp.gmail.com' failed to recognise the following recipients...... How can I delete it? The red 'close' button is absent, and none of the options work. I have tried to move it to 'trash' but it does not move.

Hi Eric, Because mail was frozen, I phoned apple support to fix the problem. Their solution was to close down the computer and restart since I could not delete or quit mail. This worked, so I did not try your solution, but thanks for getting back to me.

Try quitting Mail and reopening it with the shift key held down. Does control - click/Delete work?
