Photoshop Elements 18 and High Sierra 10.13.6. How compatible?

I am running High Sierra macOS 10.13.6 on both my iMac and MacBook Pro. Have had a bad time with Photoshop Elements 14 crashing on the MacBook Pro. Recently started working a lot with PSE14 on the iMac and now the same thing is happening, it crashes there, too.

My thought is to move to PSE 18 although I think there is a PSE 15, too. I tried Photoshop CC for a while but this is not the time for me to switch.

Where can I look to read about High Sierra users experience with PSE 18 or PSE 15? There's no point switching if those are having crash issues, too.

Appreciate any information anyone has about this.
