iOS 12 lost all my folders and apps

has anyone else encountered problem where after updating to iOS12 all folders and apps in them have dissappeared from the home screen. My second home screen page is completely empty of all files.

The apps are not gone. They are in the phone. As I can find them through search and in the settings. But I cannot see them in home screen.

I have restored twice from back up without any help.

I thought about downloading the apps again from appstore but in order to do that I’d need to delete the app from my phone before downloading it again. And I’m not able to delete any apps because they cannot be seen in home screen!

So frustrating. What to do?

I too experienced the “loss” of all folders on my second screen. I even clicked that I had this problem, too. I hope you have discovered what your problem was. My problem turned out to be that Apple added some new apps—which went onto a “new” second screen (pushing all my folders onto a third screen). I didn’t notice the extra dot at the bottom of the screen which would have let me know there was another screen. I “discovered” my lost folders when I began creating new folders to put the new apps in, and placing some of my apps into newly created folders—all of a sudden the rest of my folders showed up (when there was room on the screen). Hope yours clears up as simply. BTW the new apps were Measure, Stocks, and Voice Memos since I was on my iPad.
