Authentication Lock Error/ Conflict

Hello I have a problem with one of my devices on my find my iPhone app. the iPad has got into activation lock but does not respond to my apple id. the iPad is currently registered on my find my iPhone app with the correct serial number but the activation lock screen which just came up after a crash is not my apple id it looks different.

I have a video showing the devise on my device list with the correct serial number and the screen showing the activation lock apple id hint not being the same please investigate this error I have tried through customer support but the say it can't be and won't help Please Please help I will sent the video if you respond. please help me my daughter can't use her iPad and no one at apple support will help

We are fellow users, these are user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple on here.

Does the device show in the Find iPhone section of the account on http://www.icloud.com ? If not you are not logging into the account that it's locked to, and it's not the account that can re-activate it.


If you were the original purchaser of the iPad (i.e. it wasn’t bought used), you could try going to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment if you do) or try contacting iTunes Support online (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww) and see if they can remove the iPad from the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they might help e.g. original receipt with the serial number on it

For the account that you are trying does the iPad show in the Find iPhone section of it on http://www.icloud.com ?

By 'reseller' do you mean a store selling new devices, or a store reselling used devices ? If the latter they won't help as you weren't the original purchaser. If the former does the receipt contain the iPad's serial number ?

Thanks for responding I understand that this is not apple support but they may monitor it.

This is an error which apple uk support refuses to accept exists and deny is even possible I have logged this as product feedback for all the good it will do me. I have tried getting the activation lock removed but they refuse to accept a company invoice as proof of purchase. even though it specifies the transaction with the apple reseller.
