I just updated my 7 to iOS 12 today and can’t get past how bothersome this notification thing is, is there a way to get rid of it (while do Not disturb is still on). Thanks.
Slide the message to the left. Then tap "Clear" on the right side of the message.
I want to co-sign on this. I turned DND on, in fact I scheduledit to come on. Everyday. I don’t need another reminder that pops up throughout the 10 hour period. It looks like I have a message and the whole point of dnd is to NOT get messages. It’s very annoying and should be removed. Or maybe add a reminder that my phone is on too, you know, in case I forget.
I have used do not disturb 24/7 for years. Why does Apple start bothering me now and disturbs me when I clearly do not want to be disturbed.
Please give us an option to toggle this message on or off. Thanks.
APPLE DO SOMETHING!!! Why on earth do I need to continually clear the do not disturb notification on my phone. This is ridiculous and actually, you are making things difficult in my life in a manner that can not be disclosed here. I DO NOT want to be notified that my dnd is on. It’s ok, I can see the half moon, I get it.
To remove the warning permanently, long-press on the warning message. You'll have two options. Pressing "Turn Off" disables Do Not Disturb. The little X at the upper right apparently disables the warning message while leaving Do Not Disturb unchanged.
Yeah, it returned for me too but it does stay away longer - better than just clearing it.
If Apple adds “Features” like this, they should at least be configureable in the Notification Control Center. This NEVER would have slipped through with Steve Jobs at the helm.
Same for me. I've been using DND 24/7 since it's introduction. I know it's enabled, I did that myself. I don't need a notification on my lock screen every day.
@Apple, please get rid of this notification, it's completely unnacessary. Or at least only have it displayed a total of maybe five times and after that don't show it anymore as I know what I'm doing after dismissing it multiple times.
Really? I have to clear this message every time I use DND? The quarter moon 🌙 is still displayed in the menu bar and that’s enough. Really?
That does not work and I still get the message after a few hours even if I clear it, without the phone restarting / powering off/on, turning DND off/in, etc.
If you want Apple to "DO SOMETHING!!!", you'd best TALK TO THEM!!!
I'm totally with you. This new notification is terrible! There has to be a way to eliminate it!

It seems I was a little too hasty. After about a half hour or so, the warning message returns.
Same for me. There's no reason or need for this message. I know I've got DND enabled, I switched it on. And I want it enabled 24/7. I don't need a reminder every day.
