How can you adjust the touch sensitivity on an iPad mini (does not have 3D Touch)

everywhere acknowledges that there is no 3D Touch on iPads, no worries. But is there a way to fix the sensitivity so I don’t have to push so hard? I have to push so hard I look angry. I’m not angry I’m just mad 🤔

No.

And you shouldn't have to push on the screen that hard to get screen touch to work.

By any chance are you an older person?

My mom, since her early to mid 60's and now into her 70's, has lost quite a bit of electrical conductivity in her fingertips and needs to use a common capacitive stylus with her iPads almost exclusively, now.

You could try using a common capacitive stylus to see if this improves the touch activation/sensitivity on the iPad’s screen.

If this isn’t your issue, and your iPad’s screen is that hard to touch activate, I would bring it into your nearest, “local” Apple Store for diagnosis, evaluation and possible options to you.

Good Luck to You!

Hahahaha. Im 30 and not quite sure how much electricity I conduct but ironically I just received in the mail the stylus I ordered… I have 2 iPad minis, my original still works amazing. My iPad mini2 requires a lot of pressure, too much. I am surprised there isn’t some way to adjust that. Or reconfigure your pointer. I will see how this goes with the stylus, however considering my other one can read my finger like normal and the fact that this will be my 3rd stylus (this one is supposedly better so I went for a 3rd) ill be surprised if it really changes.

Thank you so much for your response!!

Sincerely,

Chelle
