Setting print defaults on iPhone

Hi, all,

When I try to print a photo within Photos to my HP wireless printer, the print dialog always defaults to 4x6 photo paper. I don't ever have photo paper in the tray; I want to print to Letter size. I don't have the same problem on my laptop. Does anyone know if there is a way to set the default page size for printing from Photos?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities, it's great to have you here. I understand that you'd like to customize the way your iPhone prints from Photos to your HP wireless printer - or at least have it remember your prior settings. That makes sense to me.

Currently there is no way to customize that default setting on your iOS device. Given that most of these types of settings are customized on the printer itself or with the printer software, I'd recommend that you get in touch with HP directly to see if they can share some of their expertise with you and see if there is a way to customize this on the printer itself.
