Connecting an Apple Thunderbolt Display to a USB-C port (not Thunderbolt 3) via an adapter.

So I have a non-Apple computer with a USB-C port that isn't Thunderbolt 3 and I'd like to connect my old Apple Thunderbolt Display to it. Can it be done with the TB3 to TB2 adapter from Apple, or is there some other way to do it?

null-OTHER, Apple Thunderbolt Display

There is no way to do it. A Thunderbolt requires a Thunderbolt port. There are no adapters, cables, or converters that will help,
