Reinstalling OS X on a 2nd hand mac without Apple ID information

Hi all,

Last month i bought a 2009 model second hand iMac because i really feel like i want to get to know the operating system. But now i have a problem.

The last owner still had his Apple ID logged in, so i could not install anything etc. I decided to do a Internet Recovery. I first wiped the drive and started the recovery but then it asks to login with my Apple ID. It says i did not make any purchases yet and then stops the install. I also tried logging in with my work account (we have a 5K model) but then it says this item is not available please try again later.

Is there any way for me to get this ting working again? I now have a iMac without operating system wich i cannot reinstall because i get these messages when logging in to my own Apple ID's.

Thanks in advance.

iMac, iOS 10.1

It is still associated with the sellers ID. A late 2009 came with OS 10.6.1 which means you will most likely need either the install disks or buy the 10.6.3 version at the Apple store. search for Snow Leopard at the Apple store (the new iOS version does not allow me to copy the URL). Or maybe it does work - try it.
