synching albums from mac to iphone
Is is possible to synch the photo albums on your Mac to you phone via icloud photo library? or will it only synch photos?

Syncing photos and albums between iTunes and iOS devices hasn't worked consistently in years and syncing albums seems to have broken completely in iOS 12 and iTunes 12.8. And yes, I've tried every troubleshooting step under the sun.
I think I had the same problem. But the iTunes Sync configuration has changed quite a bit. I had to activate Sync Photos, then switch from Copy Photos from: Folder to Copy Photos from: Photos - then the Albums would appear again and the sync would work. Although they do not appear in iOS under Albums but under: From my Mac (which is a bit further down in the layout).
