Never got my free beats, was I eligible?

Hello all, I have a question regarding my purchase that I made in one of the apple stores in the uk (Lakeside) to be exact.

I bought an Imac 27inch 1TB for £1200.00 in 2016 Feb. At the time, I believe they were running a deal that if you buy an apple imac/macbook, you would get free beats (student deal). That day I used my student discount in the imac but never got my beats. I assumed that this was because I used my student discount of 10%/15% however, I have people telling me that I should habe gotten my beats.

Now I know its 2 years late but was I eligible for the free headphones or no? And if I was, can I still get a pair if I have my proof of purchase.
