MacBook Pro 13" 2016 broken below the screen

Re-examining your first close-up, it looks like you scuffed the coating in the corner of the visible part of the screen and disrupted the covering below the screen. I cannot tell whether that is just a painted stripe or something more substantial, but whatever it is, you lose no function if you do not repair it.

My only concern: if you have a real crack in the glass down there, and you don't do something so stabilize it, it might crack more, and spread into the active part of the screen.

It doesn't look like it would cause much of a problem in the long-term as long as you don't drop it any more.

You could try windshield-crack fixer products to contain the crack and reduce the possibility of spreading.

That procedure would work if you needed to remove and re-attach the bezel. Why would you bother to remove and re-Install it? Does yours have an applied bezel?

The folks who are going crazy with this problem have only bare glass down there, and any tiny thing (like a staple in two sheets of paper) cracks the glass.
