Hello, I noticed since I updated my Apple Tv to tvOS 12 that I can't copy and paste long URLs from my iPhone to the ATv. It seems that the ATv shrinks the url removing either the begining or the end of the url.
Does anybody else have the same issue?

And to further clarify, the Apple TV remote keyboard on the iPhone and iPad on iOS 12 will let you type in a URL, but if you paste one in it strips it out. Sometimes the part of typing it in remotely can still do some weird truncation, but generally it works. Pasting in a long url never works. This has nothing to do with the Apple TV applications, it all in the Apple TV remote keyboard for iOS, and it changed with iOS 12. All applications on Apple TV use a common Apple provided data entry screen. That's the screen the Apple TV is on when this happens.
Finally solved the copy paste problem.
With the last IOS and TV OS 12.1.1 update.

Try using a url shortener such as bitly and it should work just fine. It worked for me
Note that if you try to edit an application configuration that has a URL in in with the Apple TV remote keyboard on your iPhone or iPad it will strip out the valid URL. Both devices I am trying on are on iOS 12. I suspect that it's something on the iOS 12 Apple TV remote app that has changed.
It's not app specific. It's happening anywhere where a url is posted. I never had this issue before and I am using Apple Tv for years, it started after the update of tvOS 12. I tried on different apps, same issue on all of them.
The issue is with the app you are using to import said data, you need to contact them to resolve this.
Again, any issue with an app is the developers responsibility to fix. If it occurred after the OS update then said app has to also be updated there is now a problem, just like on IOS or any other platform.
Others will say the same thing.
Apple TV doesn't have a browser, what is it you are trying to do?
Those would be 3rd party apps and any issue would need to be resolved by them
Having the same issue with MrMC and iPlay TV. It's in the transfer from Apple TV remote to Apple TV, so I'm not sure how that would be an application issue.

Of course the Apple Tv doesn't have a browser. There are apps on the App Store that allow urls to import external data.
