Can you load and play mp3's on an Apple Watch?

Hi all,

Curious if you can load and play mp3's and maybe mp4 videos on apple watch?

Is there some way, maybe with iTunes or whatever, to load some mp3's into the apple watch, then maybe later play them with some apple watch app over bluetooth - (all without needing an iphone for playback)?
