Your mother needs to erase her old phone completely so that your daughter can sign in with her own Apple ID. If she doesn’t have have an Apple ID, she needs to create one for herself.

I think this was helpful I sent to info on to Mum to see if she can get someone to help her change her password. I was worried about deleting data because Mum uses everything from her old iPhone on her new iPhone.
