should I be concerned leaving bluetooth enabled

I I had heard if ur iPhone has Bluetooth turned on, someone standing next to you could take info from ur phone... but I sometimes I use find my phone app to either locate my iPhone and or my iPad and doesn't that require bluetooth be on? I have iPhone 6s+ iOS 10.3.3. And iPad Air same. Have been concerned about loss of performance if upgrade iOS to 11 and now 12 so is Y iOS 10.3.3 is still my operating system. Thank U for ur time in reading and hopefully answering my question. 👍-1F3FB;😁

You would need to authorize someone to connect to your phone via Bluetooth. Someone standing next to you cannot connect without authorization.

Find My iPhone requires that your device be online via its cellular connection or via wi-fi. It does not use Bluetooth.

Personally, I would not worry about loss of performance by upgrading to iOS 12. Performance improvements were a significant focus for iOS 12: https://www.cultofmac.com/553599/ios-12-performance-improvements/
