Bluetooth not working on IPhone XS

I just upgraded to the new iPhone XS, and the Bluetooth on my phone won't discover my devices, including a Fitbit and a portable speaker. I've tried all the troubleshooting for previous problems related to Bluetooth issues listed for the IPhone X and IPhone 8 via Apple--ie, restarting the Bluetooth on the phone, restarting all the devices, resetting network settings, making sure my Bluetooth devices are discoverable, etc. Are others having this problem? Is there a solution I am missing?

Follow the tips here:

If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

I believe both iOS 11 and iOS 12 supported Bluetooth 5.0, but that doesn't mean there isn't a new incompatibility.

Has your issue resolved yet? My phone has the same issue. The other person cannot hear me during the phone call via car Bluetooth.

Tried this twice without success...

Also recent update to iOS 12.1 did not resolve the issue.

Did you try resetting the network settings Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings ? I've done this for two Xs phones which now work with three cars and a rental. Good luck.

My Xs Max won’t connect to my Mercedes GLC. Car works with Apple x, 7 and 6 phones. And new watch. I have tried everything. Nothing works. It’s the phone. Running 12.1.

Same Iphone 8 with latest IoS works in all cars but the XS does not work in my Audi TTS or my wifes VW Polo both rather new ones.

I have this same issue with my Hyundai. Everytime I get in my car, my car says “pairing failed” and I have to manually pair the phone again.

The issue is likely the iPhone 7. Have your car forget the 7. Have your 7 forget the car.

Try then to pair the new phone. Also in:Settings > About. Give the new phone a new name.
