Left shift key not working.

Greetings, a while ago left shift on my MacBookPro 13 2017 stops working(first it started to response for every 3 press, now it's about every 100 press). Nearest certified repair service estimates repair time to be a month. But I simply can't be without laptop since it's my main working tool.

So are there any workaround except buying new machine? Never thought I'll be in such situation with apple products.

P.S. I'm located in Montenegro.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, 2 TBT3), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

External keyboard is a work around.

You can try

resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

1. Shut down the computer.

2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.

3. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys.

4. Turn on the computer.

5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

6. Release the keys.
