iPhone XS slow LTE and wifi

I am having the same issue on my iPhone XS with Sprint. I have noticed in areas with strong signal my phone outperforms my old iPhone 7 by a wide margin but in areas with low service my phone fails to even send text messages whereas my old phone can still send and receive them no problem.

concerned with XS being very slow. Almost half the speed on uploads and downloads compared to Macbook or older iPhone.

What if it is a hardware issue- Will Apple replace or update the phones?

I heard there was a similar issue few years back with iPhone 4. Was it hardware or software issue that time?

So I see this is just not me noticing the really slow speeds and poor LTE strength. I've had my XS for almost a week now and have had two reboots. The LTE speeds are hit and miss even though I have all bars. Now what really gripes me is that when I really need the speed, I'm stuck with a 3G signal but my neighbor on a Hauweii has full LTE. I'm on Telus up here in Canada. I was originally thinking it was my SIM but I'm thinking this a software glitch. My iPhone 5S with the same SIM "appears" to load sites faster

I have LTE/WIFI problem too. 5G WIFI always disconnecting and switching to 2G. I have T-mobile on carrier 33.0. Compare to my old iPhone 7, I instantly notice the performance dip. I hope it's not a hardware issue with the Intel modem.

Xs on Sprint- I am an over the road truck driver and can verify that the really bad LTE problem is nationwide. I’ve been from Virginia to Florida to Alabama to Louisiana to Atlanta and Houston Texas. It’s bad all over the country. Big city or rural doesn’t matter. Also Siri is totally useless because I have no connection anywhere. And none of this has to do with me holding the iPhone since it is on the top of my dash in holder! P.S WiFi in company parking lot would not stay connected last night either! HORRIBLENESS!!!!

I have the same issues in San Francisco on iPhone XS. I've chatted with AT&T and Apple Tech Support with no assistance other than trying to install a logger on my phone for diagnostics...but with this many people having the same issue it seems like they could be more upfront about what's going on and whether a software fix or a hardware fix is the answer. Please Help!

Same here, no better even in Atlanta or Nashville - large cities used to be the first for new towers, better signals, etc when going up to 3G, then 4g they would FLY compared to lil ole Columbia,SC crap hole.

I drove an hour and a half up to Charlotte North Carolina last week exchanged, had to argue with the people they traded me for one NOT in a new box. Well started the restore in store and This one is no better. Another person there on att too

Any update on this? My fiancé is having this same WiFi issue on an XSmax on Sprint.

She is only getting 7-10MB down, while I’m sitting next to her getting 150MB down (iPhone 10-Verizon)

Her XS is on all the latest updates (iOS 12.1)

Not sure if this issue is limited to the new iPhones. I have an iPhone SE (iOS 12.1) with slow LTE speeds. WIFI speeds seem to be fine. If I reboot my phone I can get approximately 40 Mbps download (LTE) for about 5 minutes. After the 5 minute window my speed drops to approximately 1 Mbps (LTE) in the exact same location. This scenario plays out every time I reboot my phone. I've had my SE for a while and this issue has been going on for approximately a month. I have attached a screenshot of speed test for reference.

Yes, SUPER SLOW, my wife's & my iphone xs are THE SLOWEST PHONE we've ever had. Whether on wifi or lte, it freezes and takes forever to load pages. Hope they acknowlege problem soon since other people I've asked are experiencing same issue.

I purchased the XS right before Christmas and I immediately noticed a change in LTE and WiFi speed. I hope that Apple develops an update that will fix this as I am terribly disappointed in my new phone!

I'm in Melbourne Oz on Telstra with the same issues. I was getting 300Mb on LTE and now I'm getting 4.
