Hi all, I’m finding my new XS is super slow. I’m getting a consistent 1.3MBit download over LTE no matter where I am, and roughly half of the maximum wifi speed. I have tested this holding my old iPhone X in one hand and the iPhone XS in the other and see over 50MBit LTE and twice the wifi speeds.
I have reset network settings and seen no difference. For all the talk about faster networking I am seeing exactly the opposite.
I am having the same issue. 😕 I expected faster and better performance than my old iPhone 8.

iPhone XS att US. Have tried with 2 and both were really slow on LTE/Wifi. Ended up returning them, which is a shame because the phone is beautiful. I do have a friend who got one this week and he seems happy with it, although he might not care much about the speeds. I might just wait a couple months to get another one, but did return it to not be stacked with a 2g phone.
This morning the XS WiFi lost internet connectivity with a strong signal. It came back after a minute. Opened another support session to report the issue.
The number of WiFi bars changes depending on how I hold the phone, which is not a good indicator of the antenna design. Debating whether to take this phone back for a replacement.
