Windows 10 back-up to iCloud drive
Does iCloud drive have backup software built into it that allows me to backup a windows 10 computer to my iCloud Drive? if not can you recommend any simple free software that will do this

No. iPhones and other iOS devices can back up to iCloud but Mac and Windows computers cannot. iCloud For Windows does include the capability to sync documents to/from the iCloud Drive folder on your computer. See: Set up and use iCloud for Windows - Apple Support
