3D Touch Stopped Working - iPhone XS Max
I received my iPhone XS Max on Saturday, September 22 due to delayed shipping. The device was working great until Sunday, September 23, when 3D Touch stopped working both on the Home Screen and in the 3D Touch Sensitivity Test (Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> 3D Touch).
I tried turning the device off/on, "Reset All Settings," and even "Restore to Factory Settings." Nothing worked. An Apple Support representative ran a remote diagnostics scan and found nothing wrong. I have an appointment at the Apple Store in a few days, but wanted to reach out to the Community to see if any one else had any ideas.
With the recent release and strained supplies, I know even if I go the "iPhone Express Replacement" route, it will likely take some time to get a new iPhone XS Max. Meanwhile I'm supposed to return my iPhone X using the iPhone Upgrade Program trade-in kit. I feel frustrated that my brand new device is dysfunctional after less than 24 hours of ownership, and I will be left without a phone for possibly weeks and even a month or more.
