Why do I have someone else’s contacts?

it seems like I have someone else’s contacts in my phone, and I’m signed in to my iCloud, etc. How do I get rid of all of them and just keep my contacts.

Hello preston295,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding unknown contacts have appeared on your iPhone. I can definitely see how this would be concerning. I'm happy to help with this issue.

Your privacy and security are very important. If you're concerned an unauthorized person has accessed your Apple ID, please follow the steps in the link below:
If you think your Apple ID has been compromised

You can delete the contacts directly from your iPhone or in iCloud.
Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

iCloud: Delete a contact in iCloud

You can also use the steps below to restore your contacts to a previous version that only includes the appropriate contacts:

You can restore your contacts and contact groups from an earlier version that was automatically archived in iCloud.

  1. Go to Settings on iCloud.com, then click Restore Contacts (in the Advanced section).

Available versions are listed by the date and time they were archived.

  2. To the right of the version you want to restore, click Restore.

There may be more versions than can be shown at once. Scroll to see more.

Note: Wait until iCloud finishes restoring your contacts before you change them. While it’s restoring them, any changes you make aren’t saved.

The restored contacts and contact groups appear on all your devices set up for iCloud Contacts.

If you change your mind, you can restore the contacts you were using. Just follow the steps above to restore the most recent version available.
