FaceTime and Messages Not Able to Activate
Hi,
I have been struggling to set up iMessages and FaceTime on my MacBook Air. Every time I try to login to Messages I get "error occurred during authentication". So I decided to check the console app to see what the actual error message I was getting. Funny enough I get the below error:
Remote authentication service returned an error: Error Domain=AKAuthenticationError Code=-7018 "You do not have an Apple ID." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=You do not have an Apple ID., NSUnderlyingError=0x60000136e280 {Error Domain=com.apple.AppleIDAuthSupport Code=2 "selected protocol key missing" UserInfo={NSDescription=selected protocol key missing, Status={
ec = "-20200";
ed = "";
em = "You do not have an Apple ID.";
hsc = 200;
}}}}
If I skip the messages login process, I can see all my messages that have been synced to iCloud. Which is very strange.
I have tried all the options stated around the web, Resetting NVRAM, setting automatic date and time, Disabling and enabling iMessages on the iPhone, adding DNS to WI-FI adapter, Clearing the iCloud Keychain, practically all the available options online, but nothing seems to work.
What could be another solution for this?
Thanks and Regards,
Kushal
