Why can’t I do an in-app purchase?

I am trying to buy an item in an app and it would not let me purchase it. I have money on the card I use for my iTunes.

Visit http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww or iTunes - Official Apple Support and ask for assistance. Typically you need to update your payment method.
