Is it possible to use HomePod for FaceTime audio calls?

Once a phone call is underway on HomePod, is it possible to switch that call to a FaceTime audio call and continue using the HomePod?

Also, it doesn’t appear that you can switch a FaceTime audio call over to a HomePod. Is that correct?

There's certainly no suggestion in that article that it works with FaceTime audio, although I can't see how that would be any more complicated than routing the signals of a cellular call. Use Feedback - HomePod - Apple to ask for it.
