iTunes 12.9 loses album artwork after every update

I'm currently on macOS 10.14 and iTunes 12.9.0.164. Since updating into late 12.8 now 12.9 iTunes loses my album art on literally thousands of random albums. I have re-added several times, and do not have the patience or time for it anymore. Why hasn't it been fixed, after several complaints? When will it be fixed? Part of what attracts a good portion of your users are the aesthetics of your OS's and built in apps. This is a quality control issue that you aren't checking, relying on your customers to make you aware, and ignoring.

Where is this "keep my iTunes library files organized" ?

I checked a few things and there didn't appear to be anything in the work fields. I don't want to check all of them because it would be such a huge waste of time and I have more important things to do.

No issues with artwork here. Is it all embedded? Have you tried deleting your Album Artwork cache folder and then scrolling slowly through the library to repopulate it?

I've rebooted and reconnected my external HD and just happened to try the re-embed script again, after having given up. It's working. I will donate to this guys PayPal... IT'S WORKING.

I've had the same problem, but as soon as I turned airplay off I was able to add artwork.

Is this an issue with just the one album or all of your music files? If it's just the one, I would try deleting those files from iTunes and then re-importing them.
