HT208972: If iTunes detects incompatible Bluetooth software on your computer

I followed the advice 'If iTunes detects incompatible Bluetooth software on your computer Some older Bluetooth software isn't compatible with iTunes on Windows', using Autoruns for Windows.

I found bttray.exe in Options Menu/Image Path column.

However, BtITunesPlugin.exe was not present, so I was not able to rename it to Old_BtITunesPlugin.exe.

Where does that leave me? How do I proceed from here? Any advice?

Thanks for your reply. From Autoruns (under the Logon tab), I can see that BTTray.exe is located in the Startup:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Bluetooth.lnk Bluetooth Tray Application Broadcom Corporation. c:\program files\widcomm\bluetooth software\bttray.exe

In order to prevent it launching at Startup, do I just untick the entry in Autoruns?

How do I get BTTray.exe working when I wan to use Bluetooth? Just got into Autoruns and tick this entry?

iTunes seems to run OK without doing anything, but I just get the error message everytime I start iTunes.
