See iPhone in Win10 explorer but can't see or import photos

My iPhone7 connects fine to my PC, I can see all m

y music/books etc in iTunes and everything syncs. However, I can't see my photos in Windows Explorer nor can I import them. I have tried reinstalling latest versions of iTunes, drivers, etc, restarting my devices, privacy and location settings reset etc and iPhone photo import is not working.

My iOS and Windows 10 are up to date. I have tried this with two pc and two different cables. I just updated to latest iOS, but haven't imported photos in 2-3 months so not sure if this is iOS problem or not. Any help will be appreciated.

Typically you would unlock the device before connecting to USB, then respond positively to any request to trust the computer. As long as there is at least one image in the camera roll the device should appear as a digital camera in Windows Explorer exposing the customary DCIM folder.
