MY Ipad Air 2 wont connect to Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard for Ipad air 2

I have a problem and this is driving me crazy. I have spent an evening figuring this out but no luck!!

The problem is:

I have an Ipad air 2 and I recently purchased a Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard for Ipad air 2. I try to pair them but it doesnt work. The ipad air 2 sees the Ultrathin and asks for a code that has to be typed on the keyboard; however when I type the code correctly (there is no tab to enter the code btw you cant see the numbers you press) AND EVEN PRESS ENTER it doesnt work. Tried it almost 100 times but no luck. Do I have to unlock the numpad on Logitech Keyboard or something???

I cant figure this out. I looked everywhere and no solution for this problem. Might this be related to IOS 12 since I cant see no FORGET THIS DEVICE setting on Bluetooth. There isnt even any setting for Bluetooth on the ipad setting other than the one for just the switching it on. Could any of you help me with this. I only have a few days or I'll have to send it back and ask for a refund. Please HELP!
