Hi there
Active Calories are calories that you burn by standing, moving around and doing workouts
the active calories plus the resting calories (calories you burn while not doing much) add up to your total calories
Hope this helped!
Thank you for your response. I suspected that this was the case. I'm just a little puzzled by this. I worked yesterday. It was a mild work day, meaning, moderate amount of physical activity (walking, lifting, etc). So my results were, 929 active calories and 2,920 non-active calories. That seems like a lot of calories burned without activity! And, I would think that burning over 3,700 calories a day I would not have a weight issue.
Thank you for your input!! Have a great weekend
Check your weight setting in the health app. I once had mine accidentally set to 165 “stones” instead of “pounds”, and my watch said I was burning 30,000 calls per day just moving around. A stone is 14 lbs, so my watch thought I weighed 1980 lbs, I would have to use a lot of calories just to move around.
