how do I enable java in safari? I have downloaded it on several different computers and still does not run on safari

Applications can still use Java.
But web sites that insist on sending Java to your Mac to run in a web browser are a huge security risk to you, your personal data, and your Mac. That is why Java in the web browser is being phased out.
Is there any browser that can still run Java on a Mac? Lots of legacy apps still use this.
