"Unable to verify macOS" error while updating to Mojave

I have a brand new MacBook Pro 15-inch 2018 model. I get this error while installing the new Mojave update. I tried re-downloading the update thinking that the first one might be a broken download, but I still get the same error.User uploaded file

I have the same error. Mine is a brand new macbook pro 13" with touchbar. I cannot also update the software on App store. I have downloaded the macOS Mojave installer twice already but I still get the error. I have tried installing it on safe mode but I still get the error.User uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Hi, platonish,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. I understand that when trying to update your 2018 MacBook Pro to macOS Mojave, you're receiving an error indicating macOS cannot be verified. I'm happy to help!

There are several things that could be going on, and I have several troubleshooting steps we can take to help resolve your issue. First, make sure that you have a reliable internet connection: How to connect to the Internet with your Mac - Apple Support , and that your network has the correct ports open: TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products - Apple Support .

If issues continue, try installing the update in safe mode next: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support . You can use a new, test user account if you still cannot update: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support .

Have a great day!
