Hi,
I've installed Mojave two days ago, but I have started to notice Safari getting stuck for about 4-5 seconds after going to the previous page (in sites like YouTube or Reddit). It's strange as I've got a freshly installed OS and a powerful machine (15 inch 2017 MPB).
Does anyone have this problem?

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History…. The down side is it clears all cookies. Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site. Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db and move it to the trash.
Go to Safari Preferences/Extensions and turn all extensions off. Test. If okay, turn the extensions on one by one until you figure out what extension is causing the problem.

If that doesn't work, try running this program in your normal user account , then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Same noticeable problem with my MBP. Will likely return to High Sierra until this is fixed.
Me too—Safari and most other programs (MS Word, etc.) now run slow and clunky. Cleaned, turned off everything recommended—no joy. I'm on Chrome until the fix.
I don't think so. I use uBock, but I also tried disabling it...
Java? I can't remember when I had that running on my system. Why do you need this?
I have the same problem with sites like Ebay
macOS 10.14.1 and Safari 12.0.1 do not fix this problem. Safari still unusable.

Since I installed Mojave, iTunes is screwed up too. It only recognizes my iPhone 8Plus and not my Mac Pro laptop, iPod nano, shuffle, touch, or iPod classic whereas everything showed up in devices before. Also I had 19,300 songs in my iTunes library of which 9,320 show up now and only 113 are downloadable because they were purchased in Apple Tunes, my others that I transferred from CD or vinyl are gone! They aren’t even in the cloud! Some of those were rare vinyl from the 30’s thru the 70’s and a lot were ethnic music since I do an ethnic radio program on the web and over the air for the local Balkan community and now they are gone! Apple is getting to be like WINDOWS and MICOSOFT! Let’s release it before all the bugs are out. I contacted Apple tech Support and they had no answer how to solve either issue.

I've had the same problem where going to full screen on youtube hangs it and loading some pop ups or other sites will have the same slowed effect.

The difference between a 'normal' spinning HDD and a SSD is night and day. Even my sons MBP 15 Late 2008 runs smooth with the latest OS after I replaced the HDD with a SSD.
same for me, had to switch to Chrome, also tried Firefox, only problems with Safari. Been using Safari for soooo many years, this is disheartening . Wake up apple
I had to do the same thing. Switched once to Chrome, then Firefox, then back to Safari, then just couldn't take it anymore. Now it is Firefox permanently
