Safari is slow after Mojave update

As somebody else before me said, removing the cooking and browser history didn't really help me. However, removing AdBlocker from my computer did. Now Safari works just fine but I don't have an ad blocker and I will have to look for a new one.

Same problem:

Safari 12.0.2 + Mojave + AdblockPlus = websites hang and load slow

Safari 12.0.2 + Mojave - Adblock Plus = much improved

Chrome + Mojave = lightning fast!

Apple! Give me the privacy of Safari + adblocker like Adblock Plus, without the slowdown!

Until then: Anyone know an adblocker that works with Mojave without slowing it down?

Peter I experienced the same problem with Safari. Die hard Apple guy here. I have used Safari forever, but it became way to slow. Forget removing the cookies and browser history. Forget the Adblocker. I was forced to move on to Firefox with its built in adblocker. Firefox is lightening fast. It took a short while to complete the switch, customizing Firefox to look just like Safari..... only faster ... lol.... Apple must look into this .

Same exact problem. A few months ago, safari suddenly became so slow it was nearly unusable. I completely restored my macbook, and started from a clean slate. SAME PROBLEM. I've since switched to chrome and it works perfectly, no speed or responsiveness issues whatsoever, and I suggest you all do the same until (or if) this problem is fixed.

I have the same problem since after update to Mojave. specially get into yahoo mail I mouse arrows keep spinning and al the blank ads and pictures not showing, I thought my computer memory but when I use Firefox or google browsers they are fine. Mac apps getting so much problem since all the new updates.

I don't see anything obvious. What does the DockerHelper application do? Try quitting it to see if that helps.

Also try when booted into another admin account to see if it does the same thing.

I have the same problem - MacBook Pro MacOS 10.14. I think the whole system slows down when Safari is active. No problem with Chrome or Firefox. I have had to give up using Safari.

Same problem, none of those steps help. Switched over to Google Chrome until Safari is fixed.

Same noticeable problem with my MBP. Will likely return to High Sierra until this is fixed.

Me too—Safari and most other programs (MS Word, etc.) now run slow and clunky. Cleaned, turned off everything recommended—no joy. I'm on Chrome until the fix.
