iphone xs max will not connect to itunes wirelessly

Hi, I just received my iPhone Xs Max. I am moving from an iPhone X. I have the Max restored from a X backup and iTunes sees the Max fine if it is connect by USB cable. However, iTunes will not connect to the Max via WiFi. My iPad Mini 4 still does. I have reinstalled iTunes 12.8 from a fresh download but no joy. Does anyone have a suggestion?
