Apple TV not accepting Apple ID and password

I use my Apple ID and password to try to set up my Apple TV. I get message that either is incorrect. I tried loggin in with the same information on my iPhone and it works fine.

Yes, you are correct. I did not realize that when I signed in I needed to put my password in - NOT SUBMIT - then I got on my phone and requested a verification code. I went back to the Apple TV and added that code to my password and it went right iin!! Yay. Thank you!
