XS Max- screen lock

So I use apps like Strava when I bike/Run. The problem is after a minute or so the screen goes dark and having to re open the phone using face recognition going 18 mph on a bike makes things, let’s say exciting. . Is there a way to make it so your phone doesn’t automatically close and will keep the app always showing your info? Thanks

Assuming you don't have a work exchange email account set up on your phone then you go to settings - display - auto lock or settings - passcode - required passcode.

If you have work email account, you can't change the settings unless you remove the mail account.
