How do I revert back to OS X with my mac running on windows

I switched my MacBook Pro mid 2012 HDD with a SSD previously used on a hp laptop running windows 10. Now my MacBook is running windows 10 but I want to switch back to OS X

You will need to boot up into recovery mode (Hold Command - R at startup) in order to erase the drive and format it to a macOS format.
