I used to be able to burn a playlist to cd in itunes that was 1 hour 20 minutes exactly. Now I can't burn a playlist that is 1 hour 19 minutes. Is this a temporary fault or the new normal? I have read people being told to wait for the next update, has this proven to solve the issue?

Ah, I read elsewhere that the full capacity is actually 79 minutes and 30 seconds. That might be the issue.

Yes, I set the space between tracks to none and am also using the right click on playlist option.
Are you allowing for any included silence between tracks, typically set at two seconds?
Are you using the right-click > Burn Playlist to Disc option from the playlist name in the side bar rather than File > Burn Playlist to Disc? The latter can be unreliable.
