Cannot "Save" after trimming in Voice Memos

I’m having the same issue. I use this app daily, so it’s a shame that it’s not working properly. Super annoying.. In the mean time, I’ve found a temporary workaround. Once you’ve trimmed it, and you’re at the screen with “save” greyed out/not showing up, swipe up and quit the app. When you reopen it, the trimmed file should be saved.

I can save it now because there’s been an update to iOS 12.1 clicking Trim, Save. There’s no Done button.

i am a newbie here and couldn't figure this out but i tried clicking on "done" in the upper right (after dragging the trim handles) and it then gave me the option of saving the clip

Yeah, after looking at articles online, there is supposed to be a blue save button on the top right. I barely see it but not visible enough and definitely can't press it as an option. I can only trim and then cancel.

Same here. Cant save. Thank you apple coding guys! How about next time if you cant make something better just don f@@@@@ touch it???

thanks for that. but apple really needs to get there head back in the game. and stop slowly merging to be like Windows products. im really starting to understand why people have gave up on the newer iPhones. this crap is unacceptable.

that app was perfectly fine..

also a multiple times a day user and this guessing game if my memos are save is ridiculous.

This is not the only issue:

When playing back from the middle you are often jumped back to beginning.

I can't rotate screen like I used to.

If you accidentally edit title while in trim mode you get completely stuck.

And worse of all, play/pause often doesn't work properly, especially irritating when editing, as you can ended up recording over more than you wanted to, and there's no undo button.

I now have quite a few recordings of myself swearing at this app..

A tip for a newbie then - try reading everything and understanding the issue before posting a reply.

I really tried to resist the urge to be curt but I think most of us probably could have figured it out of it were only a matter of finding the"Done" button. The problem was that the Save/Done button had disappeared In the updated version

Same issues here... seems amazing to me that Apple will release a bug so glaring
