file transfer

I'm having an issue under Mojave where when I try to transfer files to an external hd (Drobo) connected to my Mac mini from my MacBook Pro (2018) over wifi the transfer will fail.

I receive the following error code:

The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 100057).

It appears as if the connection drops as finder stops displaying the folder and I will have to reconnect in the locations panel. The odd thing is transfers will work directly to the Mac mini, just not it's external HD. I've only had this problem after upgrading to Mojave on my MacBook Pro, the mini is running El Capitan still.

Any ideas?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018), macOS Mojave (10.14)

Check this out: Re: files sharing issue with mojave

It appears that SMB doesn't work on Mojave when you're trying to connect to a non-APFS drive. You can use AFP to connect and it should work.
